You may have...

You may have delayed "IT," but God hasn't denied IT. The question is can you have IT, without IT having you? Even blessings can turn into a curse if we're not careful. Think about it!

Today's Assignment

I've known both lust and love; experienced relationships based on convenience as opposed to covenant; and lived according to my agendas w/o seeking to discover God's assignment for me. In each case, the former simply doesn't compare to the latter. Today’s assignment: choose love, covenant, and assignment – you’ll be glad you did!

Warning: learning how to function in dysfunction is the fulfillment of bondage. If you haven't shown the capacity to change the madness, get out!!! You're moving from observer to active participant!

Finding yourself in a tough place...

So- you find yourself in a tough place? Take the next few days to clear your head, settle your spirit, and inquire of the Lord. Maybe, just maybe- God is saying this is the time to pursue the desires of your heart, recover what you thought was lost, and divide the spoils with those you care for the most. Nothing but love for you Blogger Fam! Read 1Sam 30 and holla @ me!

When Sight Kills Vision

Don't allow sight to kill vision; sometimes "abundance" looks like 2 fish and 5 loaves. God has placed everything you need at your disposal- it's right in front of you! Can you see it? No? Then stop looking and start perceiving! Revelation precedes release- God Bless the Blog Family! (If you need to talk your Blog Pastor off line, let me know).

Promotion

We tend to think that promotion only means upward mobility; when in fact it also means expansion of capacity. It is depth and width, not height that determines your level of success! God is into capacity building; man is preoccupied w/upward mobility. Choose capacity and experience both.

Pursuits!

If your pursuits are birthed out of purpose, know that your best days are in front of you. Stay the course! However, if you are motivated by positions and possessions, reverse the course or prepare to start looking back.

Covenant or Convenience

It's all about relationship; either you are connected out of covenant or convenience. The latter is superficial and never yields anything of lasting value- but covenant ushers in a whole different level of living! It may be time for a relationship assesssment; what do you think?

Get through the Storm

One day a young lady was driving along with her father. They came upona storm. The young lady asked her father what should she do, he said"keep driving". Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm wasgetting worse. What should I do the young lady asked, "keep driving"her father replied. On up a few feet she noticed eighteen wheelers waspulling over also. She told her dad, "I must pull over I can barely seeahead. It is terrible out here everyone is pulling over." Her fathertold her not to give up just keep driving. Now the storm was terriblebut she never stopped driving and soon she could see a little clearer.After a couple of miles she was on dry land and the sun was out. Herfather said, "Now pull over and get out." She said "but why now?" Hesaid "Get out and look back at all the people that gave up and are stillin the storm. You never gave up and now your storm is over."

I thought this was a testimony for anyone who is going through adifficult time. Just because everyone else, even the ones that appear tobe the largest and strongest gives up. You don't have to, because ifyou keep going, on up ahead your storm will soon be over and the sunwill shine upon your face again.

I hope this touched someone because it did me. Pass this on to youron-line friends. Tell them to never give up, because GOD will nevergive up on them. He has the last say so.

You are blessed beyond anything you can ask or imagine. Just put yourtrust and hope in God.

Encouragement

Encouragement needed to rise above our current state can come in two forms: a hug or a kick in the pants- which one do you require?

Wrong Turn

It's time to engage God's spiritual GPS system; no matter where you find yourself today (or what wrong turn YOU took to get there)- your destination has been set- even if Holy Spirit has to "recalculate" the route. Be encouraged!

The silence of God always drowns out the applause of men. Choose the audience of One!

It may be a new direction, but it's the same destiny! Don't fear the shift, this change is a good thing...

It's Reigning

Lord, it's good to know that when it rains- You reign!!!

It's Time

It's time to give LIFE to your existence, PURPOSE to your pursuits, and SIGNIFICANCE to your success; there is too much in you to waste time chasing after dead things!

Small Stuff

When you are on assignment, you don't sweat the small stuff. However, when you have an agenda, small stuff gets you every time!

Footsteps

I'm hearing footsteps...the blessings and favor of God is coming upon me, and overtaking me! Deut 28:2

Truth

Truth: that which agrees with FINAL reality. Fact: an accurate assessment of CURRENT conditions. Speak truth and make a lie out of the facts!

You are greater!

Always remember; the intensity the test is only an indicator of what you're made of- God never allows the level of attact to supercede our ability to rise above it. You are greater than the challenge before you! Be encouraged for you are stronger and wiser!

Which one is it?

Has the thief come to steal, kill, and destroy; or is God requiring a sacrifice? If you aren't certain, don't you think it's time to ask? Too many of us are surrendering what God never intended for us to lose, and fighting to keep what we should give away!

The Shift

I have Satan right where I want him; overly confident- now for the shift! Victory is so much sweeter when you have to take it!

Blessed

Blessed just to know Him; honored to serve Him; and humbled He calls me son!

You Can Have It!

One of the greatest challenges in life is rising above self imposed limitations; there is nothing worse than your mind saying you can't have the desires of your heart. That dream you dismissed could very well be destiny calling! Would have, could have, should have- never will! Make a quality decision today; follow your heart!

Beginning Again

Beginning again doesn't have to mean starting over! You are older and wiser now. It won't take as long to build this time becuase you won't repeat the same mistakes or have to hesitate trying to figure out the best route to take- you already know! This is not the end; it is a luanching pad for a better future. Go get it- it's yours for the taking! Watch God redeem the time and restore what was lost!

We are in a recession, is there hope?

News Flash! “We are in the midst of a recession…” Like many of you, I too was blown away by the conclusion our astute minds within academia and the economic sector reached (albeit a year late). I never cease to be amazed by our ability to “discover” the obvious.

These are difficult and uncertain times. When we consider the instability of our economy, we are forced to assess our spending habits and make informed financial and life decisions. Many of you have exercised good stewardship and still find yourselves in dire straights. Christians are not exempt from the impact of lay-offs and/or underemployment (employed but significant reduction in income), the credit and mortgage crisis, job market, etc. Although we may not have scene it coming, there is nothing about this economic downturn that caught our omniscient God by surprise.

There is reason for hope; God is not limited by what goes on in the market place. In fact, for those who love the Lord and are called according to his purposes, I believe God will use this economic downturn for our good and His glory. I encourage you to begin asking God for his good, acceptable, and perfect will for your life. Perhaps He desires to do a “new” thing in your family, career, or walk with Him. What better time than now is there to dream again and seek what God wants to do in, for, and through us! Circumstances should never determine our outlook on life; only God’s love and the purposes for which we were born.
