Yesterday we discovered that potential is not something you reach, but something that is released. Our potential is defined by our design; and we have been designed to manifest the likeness of Christ in the earth. With this truth in mind, I would like to address what I refer to as the “Spirit of Potential.” In short, this spirit leaves an individual satisfied with what could be, while stripping them of the conviction that it must be; and results in a perpetual state of pursuing something that is always just beyond his/her reach.
In order for our potential to be realized, it must begin with a change of thinking. As stated in the opening sentence, you don’t reach potential- you release it. Reaching leaves room for excuses; releasing means I must take ownership of what God says already exists in me. Remember, we are branches; Jesus is the vine. As long as we abide in him, the branch can only yield what is in the vine. Bearing and/or yielding fruit is not the same thing as trying to produce fruit. The former is easy; the latter is impossible.
Ephesians 4:1 exhorts us to “walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.” Who we say we are and the fruit of our lives should be in agreement. We are to be a credit to the summons to God’s service…
I would like to take a moment to thank those who have responded to our blog. Whether you posted a response or simply sent an email, we have been blessed. I would also like to encourage as many of you as possible to post your responses on the blog itself. Just as they have blessed us at ITN, I am certain they will be a blessing to others as well.
In His Service,
DSMoss

Finally I am able to leave a comment with my name on it (I tend to be a little slow), nevertheless, I am blessed by the word
This week has been a blockbuster with the revelation knowledge God has revealed to me thru this ministry. I am excited as I release what God has placed in me. To god be the glory for what he is doing within his body and thru this ministry.
as per all of your teaching. This more sign of Gods hand on you and this mministry. May God continue to Lead us through you.
I'm just deeply touched by the concept of releasing the "Spirit of Potential". I've always had my own hang-ups about my abilities to implement my gift. This immediately confirms what my "spirit of potential" has been telling me all alone. In Christ, I can do all things! Praise God! WOW ITN!!! Thanks for a God-sent word from above!!
A change of thinking...that is so true. Thank you ITNlg for this encouraging word!
